Green Button Game reduces the puzzle format to one recurring object and then changes the conditions around it. The player is repeatedly presented with a green button, but the correct way to interact with it depends on the current stage. There is no plot, protagonist, dialogue, or fictional setting connecting the puzzles. The game is instead built as a sequence of short logic challenges where understanding the instruction matters more than reflexes, timing, or character control.

Each Stage Changes the Rule

The demo contains five levels, and every one introduces a slightly different task. The goal remains connected to the green button, but the player cannot assume that the same action will work every time. Some stages rely on direct clicking, while others require closer attention to the screen, the wording of the instruction, or the behavior of nearby elements. Progress is linear, with each completed puzzle opening the next one.

Simple Controls, Different Solutions

The game is controlled mainly with the mouse and does not include movement, combat, inventories, or resource management. Most of the challenge comes from deciding what should be clicked and when.

  •         read the instruction before interacting;
  •         examine the full screen for useful elements;
  •         identify where the green button is located;
  •         test alternative actions if the first idea fails;
  •         notice any changes caused by previous clicks;
  •         complete the current challenge to continue.

Because the interface is intentionally limited, even small changes in position or wording can become important clues.

Short Puzzle Progression

Green Button Game does not use character levels, experience points, upgrades, or unlockable skills. Its progression is entirely based on the five available stages, with each puzzle functioning as an individual challenge. There is also no penalty system that forces the player to manage lives or limited attempts, so experimentation is part of the intended way to solve the game.

Playing successfully means treating every stage as a new problem instead of repeating the previous solution automatically. The button may look identical from one level to the next, but the interaction rules can change. Careful reading, checking the interface, and trying different possibilities are therefore the main tools available to the player. Green Button Game stays focused on this single mechanic throughout, using small variations to turn one simple object into several separate point-and-click puzzles.
