Cursor Camp is an online social exploration game created by Neal Agarwal in which every visitor appears as a mouse cursor. After entering the camp, the player moves by guiding the pointer across the screen. Other active cursors occupy the same environment and can join activities, follow one another, or communicate through movement and simple visual reactions. There is no text chat or traditional character-selection system.

A Camp Made for Mouse Pointers

The map contains a lodge, treehouse, swimming pool, beach, sports areas, caves, garden, sauna, movie screen, racetrack, and other locations. Moving the cursor to the edge of the current area shifts the view toward another part of the camp. Interactive objects respond when approached, dragged, or clicked. Players can kick a football, ride along a lazy river, use a diving board, watch films, water plants, or adjust equipment inside the treehouse.

Exploration Instead of Numbered Levels

Cursor Camp does not have a linear campaign or a sequence of stages. The entire camp functions as one connected multiplayer map. Players choose where to go and which activities to try. Badges provide optional objectives, while hidden seashells and wearable accessories encourage closer exploration. Some rooms also contain books, radio messages, cave drawings, and a locked door that suggest background information, although the game does not present a complete narrated story.

Activities and discoveries include:

  • collecting seashells around the camp;
  • finding hats and other cursor accessories;
  • completing actions that unlock badges;
  • playing football or running laps on the track;
  • visiting the cinema, sauna, treehouse, and caves.

Playing Without a Conventional Avatar

Most actions use cursor movement and a single click. The pointer itself can carry small objects, interact with environmental elements, and participate in group activities. Watching how other cursors behave can reveal interactions that are easy to miss. A badge book inside the lodge records completed goals, helping players identify which parts of the camp still require attention.

There is no final boss, combat system, inventory management, or fixed ending in Cursor Camp. Progress comes from exploring the whole map, earning badges, locating collectibles, and testing objects. Players can remain in the camp after completing activities and continue interacting with new visitors. The open structure allows a session to focus on collecting, investigating hidden details, or simply taking part in unscripted group behavior with other cursors.
