Similiar games

Minesweeper Plus is a puzzle game that expands the classic Minesweeper format with extra survival and adventure mechanics. The player still opens tiles, reads numbers, marks possible mines, and tries to clear the board. The difference is that mistakes are not always handled the same way as in the original game. Health, sonar, explosions, and additional modes change how the player manages risk.

Main Idea

Minesweeper Plus does not use a long story campaign in the usual sense, but it adds more structure than standard Minesweeper. The player can clear normal boards or enter Adventure Mode, where the game is organized into episodes. The core goal remains the same: identify safe tiles, avoid mines, and use number clues to finish the board.

Rules and Added Systems

The basic logic follows Minesweeper. A revealed number shows how many mines are around that tile, and the player uses that information to decide which spaces are safe. Minesweeper Plus adds a health gauge, mine sonar, modern and classic gameplay options, and exploding mines. The official itch.io page also lists a short Adventure Mode with 2 episodes.

The game includes several main elements:

  •         classic tile-clearing puzzle rules;
  •         health gauge for surviving some mistakes;
  •         mine sonar for detecting danger;
  •         modern and classic gameplay options;
  •         Adventure Mode with episodes;
  •         pixel graphics and explosion effects.

Modes and Controls

Minesweeper Plus does not have platform-style levels. Its structure is based on boards, modes, and episodes. Free play is closer to regular Minesweeper, while Adventure Mode adds a more guided sequence. A later update also added Casual Mode and Boss Pursuit Mode for Minesweeper Adventure, which changes how stressful or difficult the episode experience can be.

To play, the player uses mouse or touch controls to reveal tiles, flag suspected mines, and interact with the board. Each move should be based on visible numbers rather than random guessing. The sonar can help when the board becomes unclear, while the health gauge gives more room to recover from mistakes. Success depends on reading patterns, using tools carefully, and clearing the minefield before too many errors build up.
