Similiar games

Voices of the Void is a first-person horror simulation game about working at an isolated radio observatory. The player controls Dr. Kel, a scientist assigned to process signals from space while living and working alone in a mountain research facility. The main goal is to keep the station running, collect signals, complete daily tasks, and handle unusual events that appear over time.

Story and Setting

The story takes place in a remote observatory surrounded by forest and mountains. Dr. Kel arrives as the sole operator of the facility and begins routine signal work. At first, the job seems technical: repair equipment, manage the base, and send processed data. As the days continue, strange signals, unexplained events, and possible outside threats turn the work into a survival situation. The game tells much of its story through events, objects, sounds, and changes in the environment.

Signals and Daily Work

Voices of the Void does not use traditional levels. Progress is divided into days, tasks, signal discoveries, and base maintenance. Each day gives the player work to complete, while the station and surrounding area remain open for exploration. The player earns points by processing signals and sending them away, then uses those points to buy supplies or upgrades.

The game includes several main elements:

  •         signal scanning and downloading;
  •         processing data onto drives;
  •         repairing servers and satellite equipment;
  •         managing hunger, sleep, and stamina;
  •         buying food, tools, and upgrades;
  •         exploring the base and surrounding forest.

Gameplay and Controls

Gameplay is based on routine work mixed with unexpected events. The player uses computers, panels, satellites, drives, and other station equipment to locate and process signals. At the same time, they must eat, sleep, clean, repair broken systems, and check the area when something changes. Some events are minor, while others can interrupt work or create danger.

To play, the player uses keyboard and mouse controls from a first-person view. Movement is used for exploring the base, reaching satellites, carrying objects, and checking equipment. The mouse is used to interact with computers, buttons, tools, doors, and items. Progress depends on learning the station layout, keeping systems functional, processing signals correctly, and reacting calmly when the game breaks the routine.
