Shion in Overwatch is a Damage hero focused on flanking, short attacks, and quick changes of position. Overwatch is a team-based shooter in which two groups compete over map objectives. Shion supports her team by approaching enemies from side paths, dealing damage with dual pistols, and using mobility abilities to withdraw before opponents can surround her.
Shion has a story within the Overwatch universe, but she does not have a separate campaign. She is an omnic who became conscious in a war zone and was later captured by the Hashimoto Clan. The clan used her as a combat-training target. Shion studied her captors, escaped, killed the four elders, and took a place in the organization’s ruling council. She now controls the clan’s activities in Tokyo.
Her gameplay combines ranged attacks, dashes, temporary protection, and motorcycle movement. The Kira Pistols provide the main source of damage, while Execution fires an X-shaped volley. Holding this ability narrows the spread and makes it easier to hit one target. Evade allows Shion to dash and briefly receive additional health. Her complete ability set includes:
There are no traditional Shion levels arranged as a linear adventure. Players use her on Overwatch maps built around payloads, capture points, and other team objectives. Progress starts again in every match. At level 2, Shion selects a Minor Perk, while level 3 provides a Major Perk. These upgrades can improve reloading, damage, recovery, or role-based bonuses.
When playing Shion, approach isolated opponents through secondary routes and avoid remaining in open areas. Use regular pistol fire at close or medium distance, then activate Execution when an enemy follows a predictable path. Evade can close a gap, avoid an attack, or create space after a failed engagement. Joyride is useful for crossing the map and can become an offensive action when the motorcycle is sent toward enemies. Activate Satsuriku Spree during team fights, choosing each rush direction carefully to prevent Shion from finishing inside the opposing group.
