BB+

BB+ is a survival horror game that expands the mechanics introduced in Baldi’s Basics by adding randomized maps, additional characters, larger school environments, and several alternative gameplay modes. The player explores a strange educational complex called the Super Schoolhouse while searching for notebooks and trying to avoid Baldi, who constantly patrols the building. Unlike the original game, BB+ changes its layout and events between runs, making exploration less predictable.

Gameplay takes place from a first-person perspective inside procedurally generated school floors connected through elevators and transition areas. The main objective usually involves collecting notebooks and reaching exits before Baldi catches the player. Every notebook increases overall difficulty because Baldi moves faster and becomes more aggressive over time. Other characters inside the school also interfere with progress by blocking hallways, forcing interactions, or disrupting player movement.

Inside the Randomized School

One of the defining mechanics in BB+ is procedural generation. Classroom placement, hallway structure, item locations, and even some gameplay events change every session. Because of this, memorizing a fixed route is impossible. Players must adapt constantly while learning how to navigate the current version of the school efficiently.

The game includes several floors with increasing difficulty. Earlier levels introduce basic navigation and notebook collection, while later floors contain more complicated layouts, additional enemy characters, and stronger environmental pressure. Random events can also temporarily alter the rules by affecting movement speed, lighting conditions, or enemy behavior throughout the map.

Surviving Against Baldi

Sound management plays a major role during gameplay. Running, opening doors, and interacting with objects can attract Baldi toward the player’s location. Sprinting helps during dangerous encounters, but stamina drains quickly and leaves the player vulnerable if used carelessly.
